Armando Soto

Dr. Soto was born into a family of medical practitioners in El Paso, Texas. His mother was a nurse who retired to take care of her children, and his father was a renowned surgeon in that area. Dr. Soto decided to follow in his father's footsteps and enter the field as well. He began his academic career at Texas A&M where he earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology and graduated with honors. This allowed him to attend medical school at the prestigious John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He moved on to train at the Washington University & Barnes-Jewish Hospitals in St. Louis, where plastic surgery was first created. 

After finishing his training in St. Louis, he was accepted into an exclusive fellowship focused on microsurgery, complex breast surgery, and breast reconstruction where he was honored to train with his mentor Dr. Bernard Chang. This took place at The Center for Women’s Health and Medicine of Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. His one-year fellowship was shortened to 9 months when he was accepted into the faculty there. He spent 5 years training students and working to help better the field in an effort to change lives. He's since won multiple accolades and earned media recognition for his expertise in the field. Now he owns his own practice in Orlando, Florida.
