Jennifer Keagle MD

Dr. Keagle's association with Southern California began in Chicago where she achieved her undergrad and medical degrees from Northwestern University and met her husband who was a local of Los Angeles. Following that, she took on a ten-year program of advanced education which included residencies in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the esteemed University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During her time at UCSF, Dr. Keagle was financed by the National Institutes of Health to take on a two-year research study on the essential science and biology of healing wounds and scars. Her next destination was Westwood, where she was chosen for the Craniofacial Fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, whose purpose is to support people with congenital deformities like cleft lip and palate.

The UCLA Fellowship gave Dr. Keagle an uncommonly precise understanding of how facial appearance is influenced by surgical techniques. During her time under the supervision of Dr. Henry Kawamoto, she was only the third female amongst many fellows in the program's history to be given the opportunity to learn and practice working on the face, soft tissue, and skin. After her stint at UCLA, Dr. Keagle became an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington in Seattle and she was able to perform surgeries, teaching fellows, residents, and medical students, and acquire a Seattle Children's Hospital grant for basic scientific research. In 2008, she and her family relocated to Southern California to be nearer to her family.
