Kouros Azar’s Journey

In 1990, Dr. Azar was awarded a bachelor's degree in the combination of biomedical and electrical engineering. Five years later, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio granted him a medical degree. In 2000, he finished a general surgery residency at the University of Arizona and two years later, he finished a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Utah. Dr. Azar is a contributing member of highly prestigious plastic surgery societies such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Azar has been a mentor, adviser, and speaker for many organizations that manufacture medical devices, such as Allergan, Mentor, Cutera, Cynosure, and Edwards Lifesciences, as well as Black-Hagen Design. He often converses with other medical practitioners and students/residents about the latest plastic surgical techniques and the newest medical technology.
