About
Since 2006, Dr. Davenport has been practicing plastic surgery. His educational background includes a degree from Iona College, followed by an MD from Yale University. Afterward, he received his postgraduate degree in plastic surgery from Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard University. Later, he went on to gain specialty training in cancer reconstruction and cosmetic surgery as a fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. During his fellowship at Harvard's Shriner Burn Hospital for Children, he was given the Webster Fellowship in Pediatric Plastic Surgery. This fellowship was his final training in reconstructing burns and accidents at Harvard University. Dr. Davenport is currently a partner at New York Plastic Surgical Group, a division of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group.
Dr. Davenport is experienced in all cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He performs cosmetic facial rejuvenation, as well as body and breast procedures such as tummy tuck, liposuction, weight-loss surgery, breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast reduction. Wound care and burn reconstruction are among his surgical wound care treatments. He is a Professor of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island and Director of Surgical Wound Care as well as Microsurgery. Dr. Davenport has published numerous articles and book chapters and has taught across the country and around the world on plastic surgery topics. He is also the Director of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island.
